This blog was born in 2019 out of a desire to share my journeys across the rolling hills of the British countryside, the wild landscapes of Europe, and the fascinating cultures I’ve encountered abroad. What started as a collection of weekend trips soon turned into a full-time passion for discovering places that rarely make it into guidebooks.

Although I call Devon home, I’ve always felt most alive while wandering. Whether it’s navigating the windswept coastlines of Scotland, getting lost in a cobbled street in southern Italy, or hopping on a rickety train through Eastern Europe, I’m always chasing stories and scenery worth sharing.

Along the way, I met my partner, Isla, while hiking through the Lake District. She shares my love for spontaneous road trips and scenic detours, and now we explore the world together—often with hiking boots on and no set plan.

We’ve walked the Camino de Santiago, soaked in thermal springs in Iceland, explored medieval villages in Romania, and shared tea with locals in the highlands of Morocco. From rugged national parks to hidden city corners, we seek out the beauty in places off the tourist trail.

I haven’t ticked off every destination, but the map’s filling up slowly—and each journey teaches me something new.
